Why did your organization decide to become a StateRAMP member?
Zimperium was the First FedRAMP Authorized (ATO) Mobile Threat Defense Provider and we understand the value that this authorization brings to federal agencies for easier adoption of technologies. Knowing that the StateRAMP mission and standardized approach to cybersecurity standards is based on similar security controls as FedRAMP, we wanted to ensure alignment with StateRAMP requirements as we continue to support State and Local Governments with their mobile security initiatives. We already achieved TX-RAMP authorization and StateRAMP is a priority for Zimperium.
How do you stay up to date with the evolving cybersecurity landscape?
Zimperium has unique insights and first-hand data about mobile threat trends. We stay up to date with the evolving cybersecurity landscape by leveraging our own Zimperium’s Threat Labs team, as well as third-party industry data, partner insights, and observations from leading industry experts. Examples of these are RSA “RSA Quarterly Fraud Report”, Verizon “Mobile Security Index”, FBI “Internet Crime Reports”, Verizon “Data Breach Investigations Reports”, and CitizenLab. Additionally, we contribute to and align with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Cyber Security and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).
What cybersecurity-related events, conferences, or webinars do you recommend for industry professionals?
If you are doing business with State and Local Governments, being involved in aligned industry forums is imperative. Zimperium prioritizes participation, collaboration and membership with the National Association of Technology Directors (NASTD), National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO), National League of Cities, National Association of Counties (NACO) and even educational forums such as The Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) and K12 Six. Regional conferences with NASTD and Annual Conferences with NASTD and NASCIO provide opportunities for thought leadership and alignment with the most current initiatives of which include states adopting the StateRAMP requirements. All webinars and events associated with these groups are valuable.
