Procurement Committee

About

The Procurement Committee serves as a vital bridge between StateRAMP and government procurement officials, helping to establish and refine processes that address the unique cybersecurity challenges posed by third-party service providers. Comprised of leaders from the public and private sectors, the committee collaborates to develop and recommend standardized practices for cloud security verification that protect sensitive data, reduce duplicative costs, and streamline procurement processes.

Committee members work closely with StateRAMP leadership to ensure the organization’s “verify once, serve many” approach aligns with the evolving needs of state and local governments. By integrating insights from procurement, IT, public policy, and information security, the Procurement Committee plays a critical role in advancing StateRAMP’s mission to safeguard citizen interests while fostering innovation and efficiency.
