Why did your organization become a StateRAMP member? 

As an organization working closely with state government clients, especially film commissions, joining StateRAMP was a strategic step to ensure our products and services meet the highest cloud security standards. StateRAMP provides us with a streamlined approach to address data security in processing, storage, and transmission, which is crucial for handling sensitive government data. 

With StateRAMP’s “verify once, serve many” model, we can dedicate our efforts to securely building and improving our cloud architectures. To stay informed, we actively follow updates, advisories, alerts, and expert resources from several authoritative sources, including: 

• The Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) for comprehensive threat alerts and federal cybersecurity guidance. 

• Krebs on Security for timely insights on data breaches, hacking trends, and cybersecurity news. 

• Cloudflare for information on securing digital infrastructure and protecting against web threats. 

These resources help us stay current on developments and best practices in cybersecurity, which we apply to enhance our security framework. 

What cybersecurity-related events, conferences, or webinars do you recommend for industry professionals? 

• Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit: A prominent event offering in-depth discussions on enterprise security solutions and risk management strategies, particularly valuable for organizations handling large-scale security challenges. 

• DEF CON: One of the world’s oldest and largest cybersecurity conferences, DEF CON is invaluable for those interested in the technical side of cybersecurity and hacking culture.
